Great story.
This storyline which was captivating and brought together how life can twist and turn for the better or worse was a great listen. I enjoyed how the plot unfolded and definitely worth checking out. The narrator was brilliant and brought together the characters struggles expertly.

Description:
Ellie Winters, a successful potter, is living on a remote hilltop farm inherited from her parents. Her well- ordered life is shaken apart when her past meets her present.
Robin Fanshawe, Ellie’s philandering long-term lover, has a fragile truce with Ellie. The arrival of women from Robin’s present threatens to break that tentative pact.
Charming Dr. Kathryn Moss, an archaeologist and an old lover of Ellie’s, arrives on the farm searching for a new site to dig. When she discovers a previously unknown Roman settlement and ancient burial site on Ellie’s farm, Ellie allows her to start an archaeological dig of the area.
Will Ellie also allow the rekindling of an old romance or will she stay with Robin? Can that long term relationship, albeit tentative, recover from this collision or will an old romance trump everything she knows?
Will Robin, seeing the interaction between Ellie and Kathryn, leave her womanising ways behind? Will she take a chance on giving herself wholly to the woman she loves?
These questions and the mystery of whose royal resting place is disturbed at Starling Hill are answered in this classic romance of simmering passions, anguished loss, and the wonder of love.

Interesting story well narrated
I enjoyed this tale of complex and interwoven relationships. The characters were well developed and it was easy to feel a connection with them. The fact that it was set in an area not too far from me and one where I have spent many hours walking made the tale even more interesting. The narration by Nicola Victoria Vincent was excellent as always. A perfect grasp of the characters and the northern accent made the characters come alive. I am looking forward to more audiobooks from this pairing.

First love romance.
This is a great story about first love in a small rural town. How hatred and homophobia has impacted on many people’s lives and 25 yrs later it still holds the scars of this. First love can survive and thrive as true love always wins out in the end.
Victoria Vincent was brilliant at narrating and brought together the characters struggles expertly.

London, 1993
Art director, Dani Barker, lives life on the edge and getting into a fight in a lesbian leather bar on a Friday night isn’t an unusual occurrence.
Camila Callaghan, finance director for a large company, feels satisfied with her life in most respects. She enjoys her job and thinks it’s necessary to stay in the closet to maintain the position she’s worked hard to achieve.
When Dani and Camila meet, they both sense an attraction, but is it merely curiosity with each other’s contrasting lives? Dani hopes that Camila can be the partner she has longed for since her earliest forays into SM. The boundaries of Camila’s settled world start to blur as she questions her own feelings for Dani and what she represents. Will their differences make a long-term relationship achievable? A change of perspective for both women is needed if they are to reach this goal.

Interesting Book but a good one!
I enjoyed listening to this book. It had an interesting take on S+M and the characters fleshed out really well throughout the book. Found myself anticipating how the characters would grow and I wasn’t disappointed. The narrator was amazing of course, I could listen to her all day! Overall, good book and worth the listen.
